Lookit! Wow! A giant plushy pink rabbit's inviting us to "Chill out on my tum!" That was my reaction after dinner one evening at the Miramall when the friend I had gone out to dinner and I spotted the giant plushy pink rabbit sprawled out in the center of the mall's basement floor and the companion pink rabbits drawing attention to it!!
Should
you wonder about the patterned oval objects around it: seeing as I took
the photo around Easter time, I'm assuming that they're meant to
represent Easter eggs. Which is fine except -- talk about taking an unusual perspective
to this Christian celebration -- there seemed to be an opening on the
side of the rabbit from where the Easter eggs were popping out...and
although I know that the Easter Bunny delivers Easter eggs, I think the
usual idea is that it transports Easter eggs but doesn't actually
produce them from out of his body!
From
my perspective, the giant plushy pink rabbit at Miramall also is (was?)
the rare Easter Bunny that encouraged people to chill out and
effectively be lazy for a time. I guess it's because it's the
rare Easter Bunny that calls Hong Kong home and thus realizes that it'd
be a real gift to many people here -- in this city whose residents tend
to be the opposite of lazy -- to exist as a space where people could stop, sit down and relax for even a short time.
And for those who wondered: I didn't go and personally chill out on the rabbit's tum -- or, for that matter, any other part of it. On one hand, I just wanted to hurry home at that point in the evening. On the other, if I had gone there and discovered that the giant plushy bunny was super soft, I might have been tempted to majorly sprawl out on that rabbit's tum... and then, if any other participant in Sandi's and Gattina's Photo Hunts had been there at that very moment, they would have had quite the unusual picture for this week's themes! ;b

Hi YTSL, lol! Great photos and a very creative take on the two themes. I love that big plushy bunny. More interesting than the usual boring mall benches. Now, if you "had" sprawled out on his nice plusy tummy, it would've made a great photo :)
Have a wonderful weekend.
Great photos and story. The plushy rabbit is interesting but I think I like the one hanging over the railing. That one would certainly catch my attention.
LOL, that's a cutie pie.
I love it!! and great story too. By the way, I usually do as you for the hunts, it's fun to go through old pictures :)
Happy weekend.

Hi Trekcapri --
Glad I got a laugh (or more?) out of you! Hope you have a good weekend too. :)
Hi The Indulged Furries --
Thanks for reading as well as looking. The thing with the plushy rabbit is that it's really pretty large -- and therefore more eye-catching! ;b
Hi ewok1993 --
I'm thinking you like the sight of that plush rabbit there... ;b
Hi Mar --

Lovely pictures and a fantastic story.
Fun shots and narrative. I enjoyed your take on the themes. Happy Weekend.
Thanks for your story, perfect for this week's theme. That rabbit certainly looks lazy, but comfortable.

Hi Carver --
Thank you and happy weekend to you too. :)
Hi Team Tabby --
Actually, I think the rabbit's not that lazy but would agree with the comfortable idea! :)
Hi LifeRamblings --
Would you be tempted to go chill out on its tum? ;b
Hahaha!!! I would have been compelled to chill out on his tum just to be able to have the story :)
Hi Sue --
Alas, I was too tired after dinner (and work beforehand) that I couldn't deal with making the detour down to the basement of that mall! ;(
Lovely takes for the themes!
Oh my, the pink rabbit is so cute! haha.... I would certainly sprawl out on the plush rabbit.
Hi magiceye --
