Usually, I like to take my own sweet time producing a Photo Hunt entry. This week, however, I find myself with only half an hour to get one done as I'm shortly off on a day trip with a friend and her friends (and feel that it'd be on the late side for putting up an entry upon my return from said excursion even while still being an okay time to go about visiting other Photo Hunters).
So count me fortunate that some time back, I was inspired by Lissa's Postcards from the Clouds -- incidentally, she also is a Photo Hunt participant by way of the 2 Lives blog and, in fact, is the person who introduced me to tnchick's cool weekly endeavor -- to remember to at least occasionally train my eyes and camera up at the sky.
This fact notwithstanding, however, must also say that often times, my favorite cloud pictures have come when I've taken photos of them from planes rather than ground level; something that should be apparent by way of all three of the photos I've selected for this cloud(s) Photo Hunt entry having been taken from these upon high vantage points! :b

I do love the views of clouds from above. I am definitely a window seat fan, and that is one of the reasons.
It's a different perspective that makes the familar interesting.
I might have had an Ektachrome of the scene once but sadly not anymore.
We're above the clouds! Wheeee!
I played too :)
Those are all great shots. I've always loved how clouds look from above. Very cool! :D
Have a great weekend!
I thought at first that the top picture was snow. I'd say it was a very high vantage.
since I discovered photography 2 years ago, I always have my camera with me like other women their lipstick ! And as I walk with my nose in the clouds I have a whole folder of sky pictures, lol !
These are all wonderful shots. I've never taken pictures from the air. I love the affect you achieved doing that.
I believe photos of clouds from the plane end up much more spectacular than from ground. Super photos!
Those are superb shots. I really must stop sitting in aisle seats!
they're wonderful clouds shots, yes, I think taking them from a plane is more pleasing as you're way up there and the perspective is somewhat different from down below,
I like the second shot, I feel quite close to the clouds
it's just a shame I don't travel and never had the pleasure of taking cloud shots from a plane
I am glad somehow I inspire you to look up and take notice, the world is after all, quite a big sky

Lovely shots.. see mine too..
I started and comment 200 and am working my way up...I love to visit all these different places...we are all under the same sky..

What great photos YTSL. I usually go for an aisle seat nowadays.
Have a great weekend.
Lovely shots! These are really great!
Lovely views from above. Like you could stretch out and break a bit off.
Three excellent above the clouds pictures! I know I have some - now I'll have to go look for them! In the meantime, I do have from the ground up clouds!
Well, if those were put together in a rush, I can't imagine what you would have done with more time. That first shot is superb!
Sorry I didn't get around last week, things became hectic, but to answer your question I would love to go on a hike or walk. I don't see myself getting to Hong Kong any time soon, but if you're ever in my direction, do let me know.
Hi Alejna --
You and me both, blogger sister! ;b
Hi Aileni --
True enough re making a different perspective making the familiar interesting -- something that makes sense for both your and my Photo Hunt entries this week. :)
Hi Teena in Toronto --
Teeheehee re your reaction! :)
Hi Dianne --
Thanks and so far, so good re the weekend! :)
Hi Alice Audrey --
Yeah, would think it safe to say that I was thousands of feet above the ground when I took those photos... ;b
Hi Gattina --
FWIW, this female has a camera with her far more often than any lipstick! ;b
Hi Carver --
Thanks and think you'll enjoy the experience of taking photos from the air some time. :)
Hi tnchick --
That can be my experience but judging from some of the wonderful photos I've seen on this week's Photo Hunt, might be inclined to think differently! ;b
Hi jams o'donnell --
Aisle seats have their benefits (especially on long distance flights when one needs to go walk around a bit, etc.) But, because of the views they give, must say that I do prefer window seats for the most part. :)
Hi Lissa of 2lives --
You don't travel? Somehow had got the impression you did!
Hi Mimi11460 --
Thanks and not to worry, have visited! :)
Hi Rambling Woods --
Amazing to realize that it's all the same sky when it can look so different from different angles!
Hi JMB --
Like I wrote Jams, aisle seats have their attractions but... ;S
Hi Nita --
Thanks and you too! :)
Hi Dragonstar --
Glad you like them. :)
Hi Liz --
So... do the clouds remind you of cotton candy or cotton wool? ;b
Hi Sammawow --
Sounds like you also have quite the collection of cloud photos! ;b
Hi a. --
Well... let's just say that I have so many and different cloud photos that I'm now thinking of a few more cloud-related blog entries (or, at least, blog entries in which cloud photos can feature)! ;b
Yours is the first from above looking down in all that I have seen so far. I love flying above the clouds. Great photos and have a good week.
Hi Kissedalotatoads --
Adding to your comments: Funnily enough though, these are not the first pictures of clouds from planes that I've actually put up for Photo Hunt! ;b
These are cool shots! Really does give one a different perspective seeing it from above, doesn't it?
Hi Philos --
Thanks and yes, things can look so very different when viewed from up on high! :)
