Orange (This week's Photo Hunt theme)

Is Hong Kong a place where orange is easier to be found than elsewhere? I ask because although I did do a search, I found myself hunting in vain for photos with enough orange (color or fruit) from my recent German holiday stash to put up for this week's Photo Hunt. And when I looked through my Korean and Japan vacation photos from the past couple of years, I found that I had already used the photos that would have been appropriate for this week's Photo Hunt theme.

So here's turning to Hong Kong again for things orange -- and things orange, I will add, that are different from what I put up the last time the theme for Photo Hunt was orange (back on September 5, 2009). More specifically, behold photos of the orange soil and flowers that I came across when hiking with my mom on Lamma Island a few months back! :b

I would think that HK is minefield for orange - just like red - because of the proliferation of bold colors.

Love the flower.

we have the same orange flower here. i imagine red is more prominent in HK than orange.:p

Great finds you have here. I was also thinking of the orange-ish soil in Cambodia but the orange that I saw this morning is simply too, err, too orange to be ignored! *lol*

Hi magiceye --

Thanks!

Hi Photo Cache --

Yeah, seems to me that Hong Kong is a much more colorful city than many others, and in more ways than one too! :)

Hi Luna Miranda --

I guess it makes sense since the Philippines and Hong Kong's climate isn't too different that the two territories will be home to many similar flowers. :b

Hi Marites --

Glad you approve of my choice(s). ;)

Hi Sreisaat --

What an eventful orange you came up with. Really cool! :)

Hi Gattina --

Thanks -- but... with regards to your take, my query (on your blog) remains! ;b

Good take on the theme. :) I'm sometimes stumped by the themes too in that I look for something good from Toronto to represent it, and I end up having a hard time. Always enjoy the search though :)

We have that orange soil here in NC too. :) The flower is lovely.

The flowers are beautiful and the shot of the orange soil is a great idea. I hope you have a happy weekend.

What beautiful flowers! I have seen pictures from all over Europe that my brother took and they can be quite colorful. But Zurich was the exception... almost everything gray with only a rare punch of bright color.
My orange is here.

That is definitely orange dirt. Is it hard to clean if you get it on your clothes like the dirt in Hawaii?

Hi Sue --

Yeah, I usually try to show Hong Kong (or a place I got much out of vacationing at) to good effect for Photo Hunt. Not sure I managed that this week but... ah well, I tried!

Hi Annie --

Have visited North Carolina but didn't see orange soil there -- "only' wonderful places like The Outer Banks. :)

Hi Carver --

Thanks and happy weekend to you too. :)

Hi srp --

Germany had its color (cf. my entry for last week's Photo Hunt). Just not much orange, it seemed! ;D

Hi marta --

Don't think it's too bad. At least, my clothes haven't been stained too badly -- at least not much that the miracle that is Shout gel stain remover can't deal with! :b

That orange landscape looks like it could be here in Australia.

Hi Maya --

Funny to think that a Hong Kong photo could get you thinking it could be of Australia, isn't it? :b
