Lots of signs around us, some warn us of dangers ahead or a penalty for flouting rules; some advise us to be civic conscious, but sadly most people ignore them.
The birds have ears sign is cool. They deserve some quietness too.
These are a great combination of the themes! And yes, sometimes I do actually go hunting for the photos based on the themes if I have camera in hand and a subject presents itself. I also look through my archives though so depends from week to week :)
I appreciate those signs -- and wish there were more of them around, and that their pleas would get heeded... especially inside of cinemas! ;S
Hi EastCoastLife --
Gee... when a Singaporean says/writes what you did: honestly, I'd have thought that Singapore would be one of the places in the world where people would be most likely to heed warnings on signs! ;D
Hi Trekcapri --
Am glad you like the illustrations on the photographed signs. :)
Hi Sue --
On Photo Hunting: I guess I have built up quite the photo archive in recent years, so usually am confident I'll find photos in the archive for the themes. But every once in a while, I do feel a need to go hunt for subjects to take photos of especially for Photo Hunts. :)
Hahahaha re your comments! Actually, Hong Konger are often very loud people too... so it takes effort on their part too to be speak softly! :D
Hi Twisted Cinderella --
Thanks!
Hi Carver --
I went hunting through my photo archive and found these signs. Have to say that I found fewer of these signs than I expected but at least there ended being enough to choose from! :b
Hi Vicki --
Me too! :)
Hi peppylady --
Hahahaha! I definitely can see where you're coming from with that one! :D
Love the signs in other countries. I had a 6 hour layover in HK last month and I took a short bus tour. I wish I had more time to spare in your wonderful home city.
I actually don't have all that many photos of "please keep quiet" type signs. Fortunately, had enough to choose from for this recent Photo Hunt entry though. :)

Lovely takes (said in sign language :)
Nice collection, lovely illustrations too! Happy weekend.
signs ~ quiet
Well spotted and yes birds do have ears. They can be quite startled.
My quiet is at http://hindmarsh-island.com/?p=808
Hi magiceye --
Thanks! :)
Hi Mar --
It's funny that none of the signs I have photos of have the classic "Do not disturb" line but I'm fine with that! :)
Hi Vicki --
If you're wondering, the Birds Have Ears sign is located near a hide at the Hong Kong Wetland Park. :b
Love the signs! These are often taken for granted here with all the noisy gadgets around. I especially like the birds have ears sign :D

Hi YTSL, great collection for the dual themes. I like the accompanying illustration/photos, especially the shhh sign. :)
Have a wonderful weekend.

Lol, the first picture would cause serious problems to Mr. G. because he has a very loud voice and Italians cannot whisper !
cool takes on the theme!

Great choice for the combination of themes. I couldn't think of any signs I had that said to be quiet. Happy weekend.
I thought your first sign by the picture one couldn't laugh.
Thanks for visiting earlier.
Coffee is on.

Hi ewok1993 --
Six hours is just too short a time to spend in Hong Kong! Hope you did enjoy your limited time here nonetheless! :)
What a perfect combination of the 2 themes! I love taking photos of signs, too, but I don't recall having any requesting quiet.

Love the birds have ears. Very nicely done for both prompts.
