Flow and What Makes You Happy (This week's Photo Hunt themes)

When looking at the Photo Hunt themes chosen by Sandi and Gattina for this week, I got to thinking of how there are times when I am happy to go with the flow and other times to go against it.  But rather than try to think up of ways to illustrate these abstract thoughts, I decided it'd be easier -- and, more to the point, make me happier! -- to go with a more straightforward approach today and offer up photos that concretely show flow(s)!

As an added bonus, all these photos of flowing water, including one that shows a beautiful place (i.e., Sai Kung's Tai Long Wan) where tides regularly ebb and flow, were taken when I was out hiking; one of my favorite pastimes here in Hong Kong (as a general glance of my blog will easily confirm) and an activity that often makes me happy as well as -- hopefully! -- healthy. :)

Hi YTSL, lovely photos and a perfect pairing of the two themes. There's something so relaxing about listening to running water. And when I find a waterfall or a stream while hiking, it just can't get any better than that. Unless maybe when I'm at the beach listening to the waves.

Have a great weekend.

Enjoy your hiking posts and have gathered quite a lot of tips and info on hiking in HK. Couldn't imagine such interesting places in HK. :)

Hi ewok1993 --

Fridays for you, Saturdays for me -- but the sentiment's shared! ;b

Hi Team Tabby --

Thank you for thinking so. :)

Hi Trekcapri --

The sound of flowing water is indeed grand -- and agree that the sounds of waves (and the sea breeze) is relaxing. I often fall asleep and have really nice naps on beaches... :)

Hi EastCoastLife --

It can indeed be a surprise for many people to discover that Hong Kong is not all concrete jungle. The wonderful thing about hiking in Hong Kong is that so many trail starts are easy to get to by public transportation.

Should you ever decide to hike in Hong Kong, please don't underestimate the trail difficulty just because they're so easy to get to though! Yes, there's helicopter rescue, etc. -- but you really want to work to avoid needing that! ;b

Hi Mar --

Am glad you like the sights -- as for the sound, you'll just have to use your imagination... :)

Hi Ann --

...but not anymore?

Hi magiceye --

Thanks!

Wonderful shots. I love watching water flow.

You have some wonderful places to hike! Love the one of the ocean - but I am biased because I live beside the ocean (North Atlantic).

Thanks for visiting us,
Nina

Hi Kara --

Thanks -- but I think Hong Kong's beauty is captured in many other posts on this blog, so please feel free to check out more of it. :)

Hi Gattina --

Thanks for your approval! :)

Hi Sue --

It's one of my favorite beaches in Hong Kong. The only thing is that it literally involves quite the hike to get there! ;b

Hi JDeQ --

Thanks, and hope you have a good weekend too. :)

Hi Carver --

Yeah, watching water flowing can be... almost hypnotic. :)

Hi again Team Tabby --

Thanks for visiting again -- and do feel free to leave comments on other blog entries. :)
