Your photos are great and need no words! I love to visit the the markets in HK. You have so many exotic fruits and vegetables - I don´t even know the names of them.

I don't even know the names myself of some of the fruit I see in Hong Kong markets. And haven't dared to try them yet as well! ;(
Great photos! I'm familiar with the markets from here in Rotterdam (The Netherlands) but have never seen anything like the fish being sold out of the boats! Very interesting :)

Such an interesting variety of products here creating a scenic landscape! Going by the first photo, people view their fish from the pier? The strong variety of colour in the second photo is amazing!

I hope they let you choose the freshiest of the fruits. Some small stalls in Singapore won't let you choose.

Even in Hong Kong, I've only ever seen that sight in Sai Kung. So, yeah, it's not that common a sight. :)

Re the first photo: yep. If you were to enlarge the photo, you'd see little ladders leading from the boats up. After a customer makes his or her choice, the sellers will go up and give it to them (and get cash in return). :)

Whenever my mother comes over to Hong Kong, she marvels at how fresh the food in the (wet) markets look. Even if you don't buy, it's really a pleasant sight. :)
I love the array of fresh fruit available. It seems such a luxury to me. I'm sure there's equal variety in the fish too.
