Final post of the year

With just one sunset to go before the end of the year, I figured: why not largely let my photos do the talking (a la the likes of mister bijou and Horsoon) for a change? So here goes... :b

Early sunset scene at Stanley

Okay, okay, sorry but I can't resist adding: Thanks for visiting in 2010 and hope you'll check out the blog some more in 2011! :)

Nice pictures.

Is there some comprehensive website or guidebook you recommend to locate the trail heads of the hikes you've described? (Apologies if you've covered that in a previous post.)

Best wishes in 2011.

Hi hi YTSL...
Hope you had a good Christmas and have a Happy New Year. :)

I have been busy lately and have not been online much but saw this article on the CNA website and thought of you and your love of Hello Kitty. :)

Hi YTSL, beautiful sunset photos and so appropriate for a final post in 2010. As another year ends a new beginning emerges...

Wishing you a very Happy, Healthy and Safe New Year. Thank you so much for writing such wonderful posts about a really fascinating country. And for sharing your beautiful photos. China has been on my list and one day I really hope to visit.

Happy New Year!

Hi baroness radon --

Glad you like the photos and happy new year to you too! :)

Hi HKP --

In many of my hiking photo-essay posts, I have embedded links to the following website:-
http://www.hkwalkers.net/eng/index.htm

It's the online version of one of my favorite hiking books: "Hiking All in One" put out by the Country & Marine Parks Authority. A bilingual (Chinese and English work), you can find it in the Chinese language section of Cosmos Books in Wan Chai.

For Hong Kong Island, my favorite book is Alicia M. kershaw and Ginger Thrash's "Above the City" (Hong Kong University Press, 2005).

Hope this helps. :)

Hi "just me" --

Seasons greetings to you too -- and thanks for thinking of me when you see something Hello Kitty related! :D

Hi Trekcapri --

Thanks for liking the photos and my posts in general -- and for the new year wishes. :)
