Twisted (This week's Photo Hunt theme)



I'm not sure about the rest of you but I reckon this was one of the more difficult Photo Hunt themes to contend with; and especially if one doesn't take twisted merely to be the past tense of twist. (Check out the Merriam-Webster Online dictionary's single definition of the word!)

As you can see, I've gone with more benign interpretations of the word and theme. But because of this, I worry somewhat that the bridge that I photographed at Macau's Lou Lim Ieoc Garden is more crooked than twisted, and that the Shaolin kung fu monk pictured taking part in a kung fu demonstration held here in Hong Kong has bent rather than outright twisted the metal spears thrust onto his body by others.

So... what's your verdict? At the very least, I hope you'll deem them interesting photos that you have no regret coming over to view!

    They are both interesting shots and perfect for the theme!
    I couldn't find an appropriate picture in my archives, that's why I took one of my necklace. Only the dark brown beads are wooden...

    in my opinion, my humble ah pek opinion, it doesnt really matter if we stretch the theme a little, the point is to have fun and entertain ourselves n others. for some, it is also about traffic. for me, it is about a thrill i get when Saturday nears.. n then i hastily look up the theme on tnchick's blog. i never remember the theme even though i read it one week before. then after some effort n serious streeeeeeeetch, i oways barely make it for the theme hahahah.. hurt nobody too in the process i guess :)

    I think the whole idea behind the photo hunt is how YOU interpret the word in photos?

    I love the garden and the walkway...being twisted.

    I agree with bengbeng and hootin' annie! It's how YOU interpret the theme and that we have fun! Both of your photos are interesting but I think the bridge really shows twistedness!

    Here's my twisted. I really stretched the theme this week.
