Alas, I think there are a lot of people who are not used to being close to actual, real-life animals, never mind wild ones, and do not know how to behave appropriately around them!

Hi sarah sbk --

The plush toy would have to be a good deal bigger in size than the actual critter though -- it's really tiny! ;bYTSLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930487923185001591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-71150636587665196092015-07-20T20:18:13.757+08:002015-07-20T20:18:13.757+08:00Hi ytsl,

You could not argue with a water buffalo weighing over 1000 pounds. If they happen to freak the buffalo or cow out they are just putting themselves and everybody around them in danger.

I read a last year that a twenty-ish male tourist tried to ride a water buffalo or a cow in Silvermine Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-14981089013425343312015-07-20T12:28:10.519+08:002015-07-20T12:28:10.519+08:00Hi T --

Haven't seen one at a bar though -- but have seen plenty on Lantau beaches, including those at Cheung Sha and Mui Wo!

The buffalo (and cows) in Lantau seem really placide and used to humans. But while many humans are used to them, I worry sometimes when seeing freaked out YTSLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930487923185001591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-23725845863914298042015-07-20T09:59:53.521+08:002015-07-20T09:59:53.521+08:00Hi There,

I just went through Section 12 and was on my way back to Mui Wo along the Highway. While walking pass a pub/bar with an open air portion, I saw an adult water buffalo standing among the patrons.

The patrons were keeping a distance, but still, the buffalo was just a few steps away.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
