Then in late 2012, I found that some of the temples I visited no longer had those signs, and was pretty happy about it:-
http://webs-of-significance.blogspot.hk/2012/11/YTSLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930487923185001591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-44346038667072925232017-02-26T00:56:54.211+08:002017-02-26T00:56:54.211+08:00Hi There,

Some temple management did put up signs saying no photos in icons, or both in English and Chinese.

Basically most tourist friendly temples usually allow taking photos under certain conditions and\or restrictions.

T

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-3369909592201909142017-02-26T00:46:55.321+08:002017-02-26T00:46:55.321+08:00Hi sarah sbk --

And no, I've not yet been to the floating one but may consider doing so at some point!

As for photographing the Tin Hau statues: I've read that on YTSLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930487923185001591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-73852695159853762622017-02-25T05:46:25.018+08:002017-02-25T05:46:25.018+08:00Hi ytsl,

I think it would be fun to spend a few days seeking them out and photographing them. I understand photographing the actual figure is not permitted. Adds a touch of mystery to me. Have you been on board the floating one?sarah bailey knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08748376721447408580noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-5798954507119627892017-02-23T22:51:35.433+08:002017-02-23T22:51:35.433+08:00Hi keeyit --

And when you do come over, I think it'll be interesting for you to see what's changed and what hasn't since your previous visit! :)YTSLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930487923185001591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-38368651408892431202017-02-23T11:59:55.149+08:002017-02-23T11:59:55.149+08:00It has been some times I did not visit Hong Kong.
