And again, yes, Hong Kong has quite a few of them. Actually, encountering them is not as unlikely as you may think -- I think I average a snake spotting every 10 hikes or so. But usually, they slither away before I can react YTSLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930487923185001591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-23480971851210604862014-02-22T22:33:19.640+08:002014-02-22T22:33:19.640+08:00Yvonne,

It is apparently a species of "Potter" wasp. Well, I'm sure it has a sting that a hiker would remember...Personally, poisonous snakes are what Billnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-41905542475858124142014-02-21T00:54:04.562+08:002014-02-21T00:54:04.562+08:00Hi Bill --

Any guesses as to what it is?

And thanks for checking out the other blog entry I linked to. Re Violet Hill: I will never forget the first time I hiked it. It made me realize how amazingly close to the city the wilds of Hong Kong really were! :)YTSLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09930487923185001591noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3289278000277019122.post-58853370652680576912014-02-20T21:39:04.116+08:002014-02-20T21:39:04.116+08:00Hi Yvonne,
