Original (This week's Photo Hunt theme)

Now for something different for the Photo Hunt -- or should that be original? ;b

The Merriam-Webster Online dictionary defines the noun form of original variously as thus:-

1 archaic : the source or cause from which something arises; specifically : ORIGINATOR
2 a : that from which a copy, reproduction, or translation is made b : a work composed firsthand
3 a : a person of fresh initiative or inventive capacity b : a unique or eccentric person

And I firmly believe that the individual who is associated with the above photographed space and items most definitely is (an) original.

So who is he? Well, as it so happens, he's the focus of the cover feature of the next issue of bc magazine that's due out next Thursday (October 4th). And yes, I do plan to provide a link to that article -- which, by the way, has been penned by yours truly ;) -- when it's up on line. So if you're intrigued by this teaser, do please make it a point to visit again next week! :)

  4. I am definitely intrigued. That's an original photograph of a space filled to capacity. I have a few spaces like that myself although yours is more original looking.

  5. Hi Shelby --

Yeah, it's a mess but there's treasures amidst the mess... :b

    Hi Dragonheart --

Amazing, isn't it? And yet, yes, the owner does seem to manage somehow! :)

    Hi Heather --

"Something" may be the word... and maybe more so than "original"? ;b

    Hi tegdirb92 --

Just today, I had a friend say that he wished he had the time to be able to volunteer to tidy up that space (and effectively give it a makeover)! ;b

    Hi Carver --

Thanks for being intrigued. Hope you'll come back to read the article! :)

  8. I'm thinking this person has a modeling studio? or he collects photos from classes? Very well intentioned I am sure, but holy moly, what a mess! lol..My photo is up, please come and visit

  9. I'm intrigued by this collection of photos. Looks like this person had taken years, maybe even a couple of decades to collect them.

I'm guessing a very big fan of Hong Kong cinema or maybe some movie director or someone with a big interest in celebrities. I'm running out of guesses. Guess I'll come back next week to see who it is.

  12. Hi NK --

Teeheehee at your thought! But he seems to spend, at most, 4 hours a day within that space. So... ;b

    Hi A. --

Have to say that your reaction to my entry is exactly what I had hoped (more) people would have! :)

    Hi PowerTwinsB --

Sorry, both your guesses are wrong. So if you want to know the answer, you'll have to come back and visit next week (around Thursday is when I hope to be able to post up the link!) ;b

    Hi Lissa --

Some good guesses there. Yes, do come back next week! :)

    Hi Nita --

I know what you mean about it being a real task to clean it up. The scary thing is, in contrast, how easily we can create such clutter... ;S

    Hi Andree --

Thanks and hope you enjoyed/will enjoy! :)

    Hi again Shelby --

To be honest, I try to limit my viewing of videos on line because my computer is on the old side and I don't want to tax it. Sorry!

  19. ytsl,

Original is not exactly how I'd describe the photo mess, I mean opportunity,,,,

My husband's office looks something like this...so much in fact when we visited the location of your photo my daughter waited outside as it was 'too dad'!

But there is mucho great stuff there!!!

  20. Hi Simple Journeys --

Glad I got you interested and hope that you'll visit again later this week! :)

    Hi sbk --

...but wouldn't you think that the guy behind the photo deserves to be described as an original? And, from what I've read and heard, sounds like that's the case with your husband as well! ;D

  21. Wow looks as though there was an earthquake and I thought my workspace was messy. This one takes the cake !!! hahahah Here's my original

  22. Hi changeiam --

I don't think it's so much an earthquake as what happens when you allow a mess to accumulate for years... ;b
